Barn Buddies
are available!
What’s a BARN BUDDY? A barn buddy is usually a male, who’s been
living on his own for long enough that they sustain a well enough
life style on their own.
Barn Buddies are usually high energy animals and don’t like to be
contained indoors for too long; they usually cannot live in a home
setting, but love being outdoor cats!
All BARN BUDDIES will be spayed or neutered, given rabies shots,
dewormed, treated for ear mites and FIV/FeLV tested before being
re-homed.
We ask for a MINIMUM DONATION OF $50 FOR THESE CATS,
however, since vet bills aren’t cheap, we’d appreciate a bigger
donation to help out with some of the costs.

Introducing
“The Companion Cat”
program
for Seniors
The Harry and Eve Vickar Shelter understands that many
Seniors would benefit from a friend and that’s why we
developed the “The Companion Cat” program.
Many seniors, over 70 years of age, would like to adopt an
animal, but are worried about the animals care in the event of
short term illness or hospitalization.
The NESPCA will assist, if needed, in finding caregivers or
temporary fosters in the event that a senior is unable to care for
the animal.
Seniors now can adopt an animal with no concerns about
caring for their furry companion.
"We do ask for the name of a responsible contact person who
can keep an eye on the cat and notify the NESPCA if a
temporary or permanent home becomes necessary. With this
support in place, seniors can adopt a loving companion without
concerns about their pet’s future care."
Please inquire about the “The Companion Cat” program” at the
NESPCA or click on the Companion Cat button below
